Nonprofit Management Resource Center opens at Jalal-Abad State University

Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyz Republic - On May 25, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., Jalal-Abad State University inaugurates a Nonprofit Management (NPM) Resource Center. The Resource Center will provide informational and consultative support on nonprofit management issues.  The Resource Center will also serve as a platform for guest lectures, conferences and discussions on different topics. The ceremony will take place at Jalal-Abad State University: 80, Manas str, mcr. Sputnik, Jalal-Abad city.

This is the fifth NPM Resource Center opened and coordinated by the PU “Association of Nonprofit Management Educators” with the support of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program.

Rector of Jalal-Abad State University Keneshbek Usenov, faculty and students, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, state administrative offices of Jalal-Abad oblast, representatives of USAID, and civil society organizations will participate in the inauguration ceremony.

Similar NPM Resource Centers exist at universities in Batken, Osh, Naryn, and Bishkek cities. These centers have hosted over 70 guest lectures, 12 professional development workshops, where the syllabi of 5 NPM courses were developed.

Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) promotes effective collaboration among civil society, the private sector, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID), and is implemented by East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
