The University of Central Asia (UCA) was recognised as an outstanding example of best practice in the Corporate/Private category by the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) Foundation. Gulnara Djunushalieva, Director of UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) received the award at the ECDL Foundation Forum 2014 on 23 May 2014 in Bucharest, Romania.

The Government of Switzerland is launching a new development program “BaI Alai - Business and Income generation Programme in Alai and Chon Alai”, in two districts of the Osh oblast in the Kyrgyz Republic. The program will be implemented by a consortium of organizations composed of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation and Aga Khan Foundation in Kyrgyzstan.
