A delegation from the EBRD's Board of Directors will visit Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic from 8 to 14 September 2019. The visit will help the Directors to assess the progress of reforms taking place in the two Central Asian states, familiarise themselves with the Bank's investments and meet a range of stakeholders.
The seasonal shortage of irrigation water in the Aiyl Aymak of Birlik, Kadamjay district of Batken oblast, was solved with the help of the Aga Khan Foundation's project “Improving Stability and Better Natural Resources Management in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan”, and implemented with the support of the British Government (UK Aid).

The Karakol Mayor’s Office is launching two social projects to be implemented through the state social procurement (SSP) mechanism . On a competitive basis, Public Foundation Baldarga Tirek was selected to implement the project “Children of Labor Migrants”, and Public Union Ulukman Daryger will implement the project “Women - Victims of Domestic Violence”.
