New UNHCR Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic Maki Shinohara assumed her duties
On 25 February 2015, Ms. Maki Shinohara, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kyrgyzstan handed over her Letter of Presentation to Mr. Askar Beshimov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

EBRD and UniCredit Group lend US$ 260 million to Kazakhstan’s Voskhod Chromium
Major cross-border investment will bring top technologies to mining of important metal. The EBRD and UniCredit Group are supporting a major cross-border investment which will enable a mining operation in western Kazakhstan to make its operations more efficient and allow it to keep importing best technologies and equipment.

EBRD and Georgia seal accord to launch EBRD 2015 Annual Meeting
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Georgia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding which creates the foundations for the organisation of the 2015 EBRD Annual Meeting which will take place in Tbilisi on 13, 14 and 15 May 2105.

The Government of Switzerland to support elections in Kyrgyzstan
The Government of Switzerland will allocate CHF 1.8 million (around 117 million soms) for a project called “Strengthening Democratic Practices in the Election Processes in the Kyrgyz Republic” with the goal to support the efforts of the Kyrgyz Government in this area.
