On September 20, a handover ceremony of the medical equipment within KOICA’s ABC Program (Agenda for Building Resilience against COVID-19 through Development Cooperation) was held in the Family Medicine Center No.1.
This cooperation between the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Mayor’s Office of Bishkek City falls under the Korean government’s “Building TRUST” Strategy to support partner countries in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Lee Won-jae, Mayor of Bishkek City Abdykadyrov Emilbek, Deputy Head of the City Health Department Kalchakeev Elden, and KOICA Country Director Yi Jongsu attended the ceremony.
With the aim of creating favorable conditions for city health organizations to build resilience to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases in Bishkek City, medical equipment with the value of 22,936,500 soms has been procured and provided to family medicine centers and city hospitals.
