On October 30, a handover ceremony of the medical equipment within KOICA’s ABC Program (Agenda for Building Resilience against COVID-19 through Development Cooperation) was held in the National Surgical Center.
This cooperation between the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Ministry of Health falls under the Korean government’s “Building TRUST” Strategy to support partner countries in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Lee Won-jae, Deputy Minister of Health Shambetova Aijamal, Director of the National Surgical Center Mamakeev Kanat, and KOICA Country Director Yi Jongsu attended the ceremony.
With the aim of creating favorable conditions to build resilience to Covid-19 and other communicable diseases in the Kyrgyz Republic, medical equipment worth 56,067,000 soms was procured and delivered to health organizations around the country.
