Switzerland supports infrastructure development in Batken oblast

Yesterday, on 19th of November, the opening ceremony of a first-aid station in Kapchygai village and inauguration marking the completion of renovation works in “Jetkinchek” kindergarten in Uch-Dobo village took place in the Ak-Sai rural district of Batken oblast.
 
The Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Ren? Holenstein,the head of the state administration of Batken oblast, Mr. Kenesh Salihov, the representatives of the family practice centers, of the compulsory medical insurance fund, local government authorities and population of the Ak-Sai rural district participated in the inauguration events.
 
“By supporting these infrastructure projects, we want to promote peace and development. Infrastructures can be a source of tension and instability; but they can also be a powerful instrument of cooperation. It is the notion of infrastructure projects as a driver for development; that is very much at the heart of Swiss cooperation,” says H.E. Ren? Holenstein, the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kyrgyz Republic.
 
Also, in the Samarkend rural district of Batken oblast, Switzerland provided an elementary school in Orto-Sai village with sports equipment and built a fence for the school’s sports stadium, constructed additional classrooms in the secondary school named after K.Tagaev in Jany-Bak village and a computer lab in the secondary school named after T.Sadykov in Ak-takyr village.
