Adapting to university life can be challenging for a first year student. Leaving home and family to live independently, managing academic demands and cultivating social connections are all major changes.
The University of Central Asia is dedicated to helping students navigate these challenges. UCA offers a residential undergraduate experience unlike any other in the region, and with it, unrivalled student services and support. At UCA, Student Life Advisors (SAs) will support students on campus and in each dormitory. SAs will help organise activities, assist with academic work, provide career counselling and help students adjust to life on campus. UCA is committed to helping every student reach his or her full potential!

Our student life staff is committed to providing students with countless opportunities to learn from each another and maximise their time on campus,” said Erik Krauss, UCA Student Affairs Manager who has managed student life for over a decade in different parts of the world.
UCA’s campus community is strengthened by diverse backgrounds and perspectives from students coming from across the region. Student life on campus promotes discovery and respect for individual rights while underlining the importance of community and also encouraging the free exchange of ideas. Each campus is designed according to the International Building Code (IBC) to allow students with physical disabilities full access to all facilities.
Our undergraduates will benefit from a world class education in brand new facilities, where faculty live on campus, teach small classes, and provide students personal instruction. But an international standard of education requires a meaningful commitment from students. Campus life at UCA is designed to help students make and meet this commitment. Undergraduates will join orientation sessions, benefit from regular study workshops, and discover helpful strategies to manage workloads and stress. SAs and trained counsellors will help students navigate their rigorous course load and design their study programme with a future career in mind.
UCA wants students to enjoy all aspects of their university experience. Each UCA campus has fitness clubs, gymnasiums, football pitches and tennis courts, and SAs will help organise tournaments and team events. Secure dormitories feature common areas, game rooms and lounges where students can socialise, study together, and host social events. Two students share one modular dorm room that can be configured in different ways, depending on their preferences.
“The modular rooms give students options for privacy and offer generous storage space,” Krauss explained. “They are hands-down the best-designed university dormitory rooms I have seen.”
The best universities in the world offer a fully residential experience, where learning begins when students start their day and pauses only when they go to bed. Students at UCA will join organisations on-campus, start new social and academic clubs, and build life-long connections.
