Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities Will Present the Results of Its Analysis of Standards for Social Service Institutions

Bishkek - On May 26, 2016, discussions will be held on the results of a legal and practical analysis of the current standards used in day care and social service institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The round table will be held from 9:30 to 14:00 at the Information and Methodology Center “ARDI” at 184-a, Akhunbaev Street, Bishkek.
 
The discussions have been organized by the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities” (ARDI) in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and in cooperation with the Public Foundation “Institute of Childhood” as part of the project “Current Standards in Day Care Institutions and Social Service Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic”. The project was implemented with the support of the Collaborative Governance Program, funded by USAID, DFID, and CFDA.  

Project experts and roundtable participants will provide their recommendations for amendments to the current standard – Kyrgyz Republic Decree No. 381, “On Approval of State Minimum Standards of Social Services Provided by Day Care Social Facilities and Social Service Institutions to People with Disabilities, Including Children,” which was adopted on July 8, 2014. Participants will also discuss further actions on implementation of the recommendations and promotion of amendments to the legislation.

This project is supported by the Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) promoting effective collaboration among civil society, the private sector, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the private sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID), and is implemented by East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
