This week marks the final stage in the University of Central Asia’s (UCA) 2016/2017 undergraduate admissions cycle. Shortlisted students will participate in personalised information sessions over the course of the next two weeks.

Journalist Gulnara Kasmambetova, BBC Senior Producer, Kyrgyz Television, Radio and Online and her BBC crew spoke to community members and captured construction in progress. They spoke to prospective Naryn students who applied to the University and local residents employed on the campus site. Kasmambetova also interviewed Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, Executive Chairman, UCA Board Executive Committee.

The Naryn campus is the first of three campuses of equal stature and facilities UCA is building in Naryn, Kyrgyz Republic (2016), Khorog, Tajikistan (2017) and Tekeli, Kazakhstan (anticipated in 2019). Once completed, each UCA campus will feature state of the art classrooms, libraries, and laboratories, secure, modular dormitories and athletic facilities open to the public, including football pitches and tennis courts.
We look forward to welcoming our first cohort of students in September 2016.
