Bishkek – On July 15, 2016 at 16:00, the Public Union “Association of Nonprofit Management Educators” and the Center for Training and Consultancy of the Republic of Georgia will sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the Kyrgyz National University Resource Center (3rd floor, room 310, 547 Frunze Street).
The memorandum demonstrates the two organizations’ commitment to cooperate in promoting and enhancing nonprofit management education and develop the next generation of professional civil society leaders of the two countries.
This initiative is supported by the Collaborative Governance Program (CGP), funded by USAID
[1] and DFID.
The memorandum will help to enhance the academic and professional cooperation between the organizations of two countries to advance education in management of non-profit organizations. The organizations plan to exchange of information, create of an enabling environment for development and implementation of new courses, and update existing programs in Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.
The organizations also plan to conduct joint research activities, implement projects, publish scholarly works and organize scholarly and professional conferences, forums, seminars and trainings on contemporary issues of non-profit management.
This cooperation supported by the
Collaborative Governance Program (CGP), which promotes effective collaboration between civil society, the Government, and the private sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID), and is implemented by East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
2 USAID Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) supported the internship program for five professors of the Consortium of Universities on NPM (Kyrgyz Republic) in the universities of the Republic of Georgia in May-June 2015. Also, CGP invited Marine Egutia, Georgian consultant specialized in Public Policy and Advocacy for the Consortium members in January 2016 to help them develop NPM course syllabus.
