Bishkek. On November 6, 2017, the Center for Public Policy (CPP) will launch a series of trainings as part of a newly launched project “Enhancing the Role of Public Councils in Preventing Conflict of Interests in State Bodies” implemented with support of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program. The first training will start at 9.00 a.m. at Bishkek Boutique Hotel at the following address: 67/1 Baitik Batyra Street, Bishkek.
CPP will conduct 10 trainings for 200 members of Public Councils of State Bodies (PCs) and representatives of government bodies with the purpose of preventing conflict of interest in state bodies. CPP will provide a collection of case studies on conflict of interest, other necessary materials and tools for working on conflict prevention.
As a result of the training, participants are expected to improve their knowledge in the area of conflict of interest, raise their capacity to carry out activities aimed at preventing conflict of interest, and see the importance of interaction between stakeholders and beneficiaries to prevent and combat corruption.
All project deliverables, including two videos, will be published and made available for the broad public.
The Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) works to strengthen the partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic Government, civil society and private sector. The program is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
