Osh city - On November 24, 2017, the Public Union “Association of Nonprofit Management Educators”, in collaboration with the USAID Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) and Osh State University, will conduct a conference: “Nonprofit Management Education Development in the Kyrgyz Republic: Experience and Prospects”.
At the conference, the Association will present a new Nonprofit Management (NPM) Textbook with Glossary. The conference will start at 10 a.m. at the address: Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Business and Management, Osh State University, 80 Masaliev Street, Osh city.
The organizers of the conference will share the achieved results of the theoretical and practical aspects of implementing NPM education in the Kyrgyz Republic. They will also provide an overview of current issues and trends in the nonprofit sector and will tell about specific skills and knowledge needed for effective management of the nonprofit organizations. Besides, Executive Director of the Republic of Georgia Center for Training and Consultancy Irina Khantadze will conduct a Training of Trainers on Nonprofit Sustainability Strategies.
The conference will serve as a forum for presentation of the NPM Textbook with Glossary developed in Russian and Kyrgyz languages by 16 university professors. The textbook was developed in response to the need for NPM textbooks by professors and students at the universities of the country.
Leadership of Osh State University, professors and students, representatives of Osh Oblast government agencies, and civil society organizations will participate in the event.
The Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) works to strengthen the partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic Government, civil society and private sector. The program is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
