On November 19, 2019, the Ala-Archa State Residence will host the High Level Development Forum "Accelerating Reforms for Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic". The Forum was initiated by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and co-organized by the Government and the Development Partners Coordination Council (DPCC).
This Forum is a continuation of the High-Level Conference on development issues "Partnership for Development through Reforms 2013-2017" which took place in 2013. At the Development Forum the progress made in priority development areas since the 2013 will be reviewed and a set of priority directions for a joint action for the next four years until 2022 will be discussed by the participants with the objective of agreeing on a framework for the future joint engagement that will enable sustainable, broad-based and inclusive development.
The Development Forum focused on the following priority development areas: digitalization; regional development; investment climate; human capital; and integrated water resources management, climate change and disaster risk management.
The Development Partners Coordination Council of the Kyrgyz Republic strives to improve the multilateral flow of information among development partners, government agencies and civil society institutions. It maintains a constructive dialogue and shared vision with the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the country's development priorities and serves to strengthen the overall aid coordination and management.
