Project Engineer (Individual consultant)

OJSC Electric Power Plants Toktogul Rehabilitation Phase 3 Project funding by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) 

The individual consultant will be hired for assistance in project implementation under Toktogul Rehabilitation Phase 3 and Toktogul Rehabilitation Phase 2 Projects. The duration of the assignment is tentatively 1 year.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Review and elaboration of engineering design documentations submitted by the Contractors;
• Administration and supervision of contracts;
• Monitoring and supporting (letters, certificates, etc.) disputes with Contractors, as well as working with dispute Board paperwork;
• Monitor and control of performance of consultants and contractors;
• Coordinate and cooperate with related technical, operational and administrative staff of OJSC “Electric Power Plants”;
• Carrying out customs clearance of goods and materials received under the project;
• Prepare required Project progress reports.

Requirements:

• Higher education in the field of energy;
• At least two (2) years of work experience in ADB/WB projects or international companies/organizations;
• At least two (2) years of work experience as an engineer;
• Work experience in working with engineering design documents (desirable);
• Fluency in English (oral and written) to work fully with technical specifications, project documentation and contracts, conduct business correspondence and work with consultants, contractors and ADB in English.
