Project Coordinator “Deutsch Global - A Project for the Promotion of German Language Learning and Testing and Fair Labor Migration Pathways

Since 2012, the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) has been operating in the Kyrgyz Republic. The DVV International Representation Office in Kyrgyzstan promotes Adult Learning and Education (ALE) ideas and the importance of non-formal education in the 21st century. It works in partnership with the respective ministries and government agencies, as well as representatives of non-government, non-profit, and international organizations. 

We are looking for our office in Kyrgyzstan from 1 February 2026 until 31 March  2027 for a Project Coordinator for the Promotion of the German Language (m/f/d, 100 %) 

The project Deutsch Global is a joint initiative by DVV International and telc gGmbH[1], aimed at expanding and decentralizing access to German language learning worldwide. The project fosters strategic partnerships with local and international stakeholders, promoting sustainable and high-quality cooperation focused on adult education and language learning. Its mission is to support the creation of fair and regular labor migration pathways through education and skills development. In Kyrgyzstan, Deutsch Global seeks to strengthen the institutional capacities of language centers and public institutions, encouraging the use of learning resources, specialized teacher training, and access to reliable information on vocational training in Germany.

The project further aims to make German language tests, learning materials, and training formats developed and offered by telc accessible to a broader group of institutions and people in Kyrgyzstan 

Your tasks 

  • Monitoring and supporting existing telc partners in Kyrgyzstan, ensuring quality and compliance requirements are met; carrying out audits
  • Acquisition of new licence and distribution partners; conducting quality assurance visits
  • Establishing and maintaining a strategic local/regional network with German institutions and stakeholder management (German Embassy, AHK, Goethe Institute, DAAD, etc.)
  • Organisation and implementation of local events, e.g., partner meetings, round tables, info sessions, conferences; representing the project at conferences and community events on site
  • Cooperation with relevant projects in the field of adult education, technical and vocational education, skills development, and labor migration.
  • Carrying out market and competition analyses
  • Preparing presentations and organising training courses
  • Regular reporting to senior management on activities, project status, and market developments. This also includes regular participation in meetings with the DVV International Headquarters in Germany

Your profile

  • Knowledge of the local education market and the politically relevant institutions and people
  • Very good language skills, preferably in German (min. B2) and/or English (min. B2), as well as Kyrgyz and Russian
  • Professional experience in the education sector, ideally in the field of foreign language learning, (language) examinations, and/or publishing
  • Experience in partner and customer acquisition, as well as project management
  • Willingness to travel, both within Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia, and to Germany
  • Work experience in international, ideally educational policy contexts
  • Intercultural competence; entrepreneurial interest, commercial awareness; adherence to track and rules, incorruptibility
  • A university degree relevant to the field of work (Master's degree or comparable qualification)
