Bishkek – On May 17, 2018 the Public Association "Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges", in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic, launched a series of guest lectures for students of universities and colleges (vocational institutions) in all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Recent climate resilience research has shown that Kyrgyzstan is the third most vulnerable to climate change impacts in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, primarily due to the sensitivity of its agricultural systems to climatic change. Impacts such as climate temperature change could cause altered precipitation patterns and more frequent heat extremes, leading to increased incidence of aridity and drought, particularly in the mountain pastures. Since Kyrgyzstan’s land area is 90% mountainous, it is increasingly important to build resilience to these climate changes and to enable communities to continue thriving.
A new three-year project funded by the European Union to end violence against women and girls in Kyrgyzstan started out today, 10 April 2018, at City Hotel, Bishkek.
Over 50 students participated at the University of Central Asia’s first Model United Nations (UCAMUN) Conference on April 1st at the UCA Naryn Campus in Kyrgyzstan. The conference provided a platform for students to learn about the complexities of international relations through a United Nations simulation. They discussed three topics including promoting women’s involvement in government, the social cultural adaptation of migrants in the European Union, and the threat of nuclear proliferation.
The University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Naryn Campus Health Fair brought together over 340 people from the Naryn community to increase awareness about healthy lifestyles on March 31st 2018 in Kyrgyzstan.
Representatives of 23 municipalities of Osh and Naryn provinces were awarded grant certificates in the amount of KGS 38 million at the ceremony held on March 23, 2018, in Bishkek. The grants will be used to solve priority issues identified by the citizens, such as construction of kindergartens and improvement of water services.
On March 19, 2018, a kindergarten was inaugurated in Besh-Koruk village in the rural municipality of Aleksandrovka in Chui.
