Project to Protect Women and Girls Against Violance to be Launched in Osh

Osh – The project will enhance the role and responsibility of local governments and law enforcement agencies on preventing domestic violence and protecting women and girls from violence. US$ 55 million from two multilaterals for upgrade of international road. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will sign their first joint project on Saturday, which is also one of the first projects for the AIIB.

Peer-to-peer Consultants to Fight Discrimination against HIV-Positive People

Karakol – On June 23 public union Harmony Plus will train 10 people living with HIV (PLHIV) to be peer-to-peer consultants to other PLHIV. Peer-to-peer consultants will strengthen the PLHIV community by using their personal experience and training to support PLHIV in similar situations. The training is supported by USAID and DFID.
