Bishkek, Park Hotel - On May 23, 2016, a roundtable discussions will be held to present the results of the project “Promoting Openness, Transparency and Public Accessibility of Judicial Acts and Information on Court Proceedings.”  As part of the project, the monitoring of publishing and posting judicial acts and information of court proceedings on the website www.sot.kg has been conducted to improve public access to information associated with decisions handed down from these courts.

Osh – On May 24-26, 2016, Public Fund “Blagodat” will conduct a 3-day training course for volunteers on new technologies and methods of providing assistance to children with special needs and their families in the city of Osh. Volunteers will be familiarized with the peculiarities of working with children diagnosed with mental retardation (MR), infantile cerebral palsy (ICP), and deafness. This initiative is supported by the Collaborative Governance Program, funded by USAID and DFID, and is organized in partnership with “Family to Every Child” and “Smile.kg”.

Bishkek - On May 26, 2016, discussions will be held on the results of a legal and practical analysis of the current standards used in day care and social service institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The round table will be held from 9:30 to 14:00 at the Information and Methodology Center “ARDI” at 184-a, Akhunbaev Street, Bishkek.

The EBRD and the government of Kazakhstan are continuing to support sustainable public utilities through an extension of existing projects with the Central Asian Electric Power Corporation (CAEPCO), the largest private sector energy corporation in the country, to modernise district heating in the cities of Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar and Ekibastuz. The project is expected to benefit over 500,000 residents in north-eastern Kazakhstan.

The EBRD and the government of Kazakhstan are continuing the modernisation of the country’s water and district heating systems with three new loan agreements signed today.
