Canada’s Seneca College to Award Scholarships to University of Central Asia Students
On 5 April 2016, Canada’s Seneca College announced plans to award three different scholarships to a total of 12 Central Asian students pursuing undergraduate study at the University of Central Asia (UCA). The scholarships from UCA’s curriculum development partner reflect a shared dedication to providing access and affordability to promising students, regardless of their economic status.

The Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic has invited the Eos Guitar Quartet from Switzerland with a concert tour of classical guitar music in Bishkek and Osh. The concerts will take place from 9th to 12th of April 2016.
Talas to Host Discussions on the Use of Digital Signature
Talas. Roundtable discussions to raise awareness of entrepreneurs on the use of electronic digital signature (DS) will be held in Talas. Representatives of government agencies, businesses, civil society, and the media will discuss the existing problems and opportunities in the use of the DS in interactions between businesses and government agencies, as well as to familiarize both parties with the legal-regulatory framework for electronic digital signatures.

University of Central Asia and Ministry of Economy Host Forum on Mining Policy in the Kyrgyz Republic
A Forum on Mining Policy held 11 March 2016 in Bishkek brought together key stakeholders to hear presentations by national and international experts, and participate in a vigorous debate on issues facing this critical sector of the economy. Organized by the University of Central Asia’s Institute of Public Policy and Administration (UCA IPPA) and the Ministry of Economy, the event attracted over 85 participants.
