Naryn Governor Praises UCA’s First Residential Campus at Community Open House
The University of Central Asia (UCA), in partnership with the Naryn Governor and Mayor’s Office hosted an open house and tour of UCA’s Naryn campus on 29 February 2016. An estimated 300 people attended the event, highlighting the crucial partnership between the Naryn community and UCA, Central Asia’s first regional, fully residential university based in three countries.

Amendments to the Law on Guarantee Funds Seek to Increase Access to Loans for Businesses
Bishkek – The Association of Guarantee Funds initiated legislative amendments to boost the work of guarantee funds that assist entrepreneurs in obtaining loans by providing financial guarantees. The proposed amendments will increase guarantee amounts and remove provisions that hamper creation of private guarantee funds. Public hearing on amendments to the Law on Guarantee Funds in the Kyrgyz Republic will take place on February 29, 2016 at Plaza Hotel (52 Togolok Moldo st.). The event is supported by USAID and DFID through the Collaborative Governance Program.
EBRD loan in local currency to First MicroCredit, Kyrgyz Republic
US$ 1 million som equivalent for on-lending to MSMEs. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is stepping up its support for small businesses in the Kyrgyz Republic with a new loan in the local currency som to First MicroCredit Company (FMCC).

According to monitoring findings, the Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek is the leader in publishing judicial acts and information on proceedings on the website www.sot.kg. The monitoring has been performed by the Public Foundation “Sustenance and Development of the Rule of Law” (herein referred to as Foundation) with support from the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
