Bishkek receives specialised fleet of trucks for water services upgrade, financed by Switzerland and EBRD

The City of Bishkek took delivery of five more specialised vehicles today, which will be used to modernise the city’s water and wastewater networks. The project, which also involves a corporate development programme for the municipal water utility, is financially supported by the Government of Switzerland and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The water utility company has already received 41 specialised trucks and other equipment.

National Statistics Committee And WFP Agree To Collaborate On Food Security Statistics In The Kyrgyz Republic

BISHKEK – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic (NSC) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to improve the analysis and dissemination of food security statistics in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The first competition for EFSD grants is announced

Moscow, 11 July 2016.Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), as the Resources Manager of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilisation and Development (EFSD), announced the first competition for EFSD grants for the member states' projects in the social sphere. Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are invited to take part in the competition.
