EBRD participation in successful placement which will finance logistics infrastructure in Kazakhstan. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has participated in a bond issuance by Kazakhstan’s national railway company, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ). The Bank participated in the longer-term tranche of the Eurobond.

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today completed the sixth and final review of the Kyrgyz Republic’s economic performance under the program supported by a three-year, SDR 66.6 million (about US$106 million at the time of approval) arrangement under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF)1.

In Bishkek, EBRD launches information campaign on the value of external advice for business. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) today launches a new information campaign in the Kyrgyz Republic about the value of external advice for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The launch will be marked by an opening speech from the EBRD’s First Vice President, Phil Bennett, who will talk about the importance of know-how for the development of individual SMEs and for the growth of the wider economy.
